I really enjoyed season 3.... although that finale was very crazy.... Spoiler The Mad King Dusk ending felt a little too over the top, but I'm still interested to see where Empire goes. Someone else who read the books can correct me, but I believe the face of the Mule was also a ruse and was secretly someone else the entire time.
I really enjoyed it, it was a a great finale. Spoiler To answer your question, in the books Magnifico was the Mule if I remember correctly. In the show they changed it to the social media girl it seems. I would guess next season will pick up right after this season, or a small jump in years, rather than centuries.

So I finally watched season 3. It was definitely a busy season that so much happened with lots of big moments and twists. I liked how Day had less of a role in this season and Dusk was featured more. Day being an apathetic stoner was fun, but I didn't really care for the Mycogen plot. Dusk has gone crazy sociopathic dictator and he's got a Death Star. Dunno why Gaal didn't finish off the Mule and instead HALO drops from space (but doesn't burn up?). What sucks about the show is the time between the seasons, which is just how streaming platforms are nowadays. I can't remember **** from season 1 or 2. It took me 2 episodes to realize that Salvor was dead. I'm sure I won't remember anything when season 4 releases.
