Cam Whitmore traded to Wizards for 2 2nd round picks

That is what I said, playing overseas is perfect for development, you have to deal with a foreign environment....etc.

Preferably before the Draft.

 

I do recall that through their media sources they did pretty clearly put that out there.

That being said of course they could be lying but if they were telling the truth and they took a lower offer to help put Cam in a better position, I would assume given Cam’s superpower agent, that the deal was made to scratch the back of his agent more than it was about Cam. Cams agent knows this season he needs PT in order get an extension which means big money on the line.

More than likely next season or the year after that agent will be expected to send another player of his to the rockets I would expect. So we’ll see what this trade really looks like in a couple season if/when the rockets get a good player to sign with them as a free agent they otherwise wouldn’t have gotten.

I still say Whitmore will become a star in the NBA. He is just is a kid in a grown man's body. He is emotionally very immature.

 

then why be in a such hurry to trade him?

Stone was afrakid to only get 1 2nd rounder if he waited til the season starts?

 

Would rather have JD Davidson than Cam, easily

 

Whitmore is (currently) garbage. Talented, of course, but unlikely to put it together

 

I saw no improvement in Cam’s game through 2 yrs. It seemed like he was 100% relying on his raw talent, but it will be interesting to see if Brian Keefe can pull the best out of him, or if Cam drives Keefe to smoke a ton of kief.

 

JD probably played better than what Cam or Jalen would’ve played last night. I could see him replacing Aaron Holiday on some nights and possible rotation where Reed is having trouble in match ups

 

Cam is on the type of team he needs to be on.

 

The Wizards only play 3 preseason games and they are all not starting until the 12th.
