We need that butt sweat to hurt SGA's ankle if we face OKC in the WCF.

The way I look at it if Reed isn't able to earn the starting spot then we are basically fcked.

We have very few avenues to go out and get anyone who can do what FVV or a starting caliber PG can do on a winning team.

Want to know what happens when you don't have a guy that can organize your offense..... you could look a heck of alot like the 2024-25 Phoenix Suns. Albeit their defense was atrocious, but still. Offensively, even with Durant and Booker it was awful. This team relying on Durant and Sengun to run everything is a trainwreck offensively waiting to happen. I think we'll still be good, but we still will have all kinds of problems scoring in the postseason.

So either Amen, or Reed really have to come out of nowhere this season. With Amen.... I really haven't seen his be that guy yet, and that's okay because what he can be regardless if freaking awesome. But it still leaves a giant hole in terms of a lead guard, and offensive quarterback. That's asking ALOT of Reed to be that guy anyways, and so far the play on the court hasn't left me feeling all that hopeful.

Hopefully a trade isn't mandatory, but I wouldn't be shocked if come December, it's a wide known secret that the Rockets are shopping hard for a lead guard.

I really think Amen has it in him to run the offense. It may still be a little shaky this season, but I don't think it will be a disaster. We know how smart he is and how obsessed he is with watching tape and studying the game. The only major issue I see is that he's going to be given the Westbrook treatment until he proves he can shoot the three ball.

I don't think they are forked......it is going to be just a one way very boring Offense with Okogie and Holiday bringing up the ball and dumping it to whoever and then they run the Sengün, Durant and Amen action.

You are right that the Rocket have a few Phoenix players in Durant and Okogie now.

What Phoenix lacked was some guy named Amen but basically they are a better coached and talented Phoenix Suns with Reed being some sort of a Booker when he was a rookie or Bradley Beal when he was a rookie. Way shorter.

I have full confidence in Amen's improvement in every aspect. But he is not going to suddenly become a good 3pt shooter. If he can raise his 3p% to above 30%, I'll be very happy. He needs to pair with a shooter, probably either Reed or Holiday. Or maybe they'll slide KD to the backcourt and play Tari in the wing.

A 37 year old point guard? A three point shooting Amen? We are in big trouble indeed!

They got Adamantium/Vibranium prepared for that occasion.

Fact check: the Suns were the 10th best offence in the NBA last season
By points per 100 possessions they were even better, ranking 8th.

I'm not disagreeing with you that FVV is important, but we're not a trainwreck by default without him.

NBA.com has the Suns as the 13th best offense in PPP (aka Offensive Rating). They were 4th in TS%. They just could not grab an offensive rebound which dropped their PPP.

Big difference between Sengun and Booker. Sengun is a willing play maker and can actually run an offense. Booker is a scorer. Booker and KD were redundant. Sengun and KD will fit like a glove.

The nuggets have no one who can run an offense except Jokic and produce the best offense the league has ever seen when he’s on the court. I think we will be fine.
