Also important to remember we lost to the Rams (3-2) and Bucs (4-1) a couple of the best/better NFC teams and Jacksonville is surprisingly competent at 3-1. We looked ugly but still.. it was a tough schedule to start.
Even removing the two fumbles, 1) they still needed to actually score a TD against the Rams (something they had not accomplished to that point) + a defensive stop when LA only needed a FG; 2) even if they score v Jacksonville, they immediately gave up a TD and then CJ threw a pick on the ensuing drive. I just can't assume either of those are wins given how anemic our offense played those first three weeks. BUT! They are absolutely a Too'Too tackle on 4th-and-10 away from being 3-2. If they get Baker down there, they beat TB - no woulda, coulda, shouldas: ball game over with a tackle.
I might be in the minority, but I really don't like Noel doing what he did. Especially as a rookie. Show some respect for the past greats, and don't antagonize the opposition needlessly. But having said that, What Zaire did in retaliation was just as stupid, or stupider.
34 point blowout win felt great, especially against Baltimore. I know the Ravens didn't have their QB and a lot of key players were out, but I don't care. The Texans have a long history of not taking advantage of games they were supposed to win and found ways to lose. The offensive line played better and Stroud was getting the ball out quick. The defense did their thing.
You’re definitely in the minority. First career touchdown. First team win in Baltimore. Highest scoring game on the road in team history. Have fun! && stop listening to people crying about celebrations. I come from the, “if you don’t want us to celebrate, keep us out the endzone” era
I have no problem with celebrations in general. But there is a way to celebrate with class. I enjoyed every moment of that game. And in the moment I chuckled at Noel. But in hindsight, I'd rather my players enjoy themselves in a way that's not mocking other teams/players. Except the Cowboys. He can do anything he wants to antagonize the Cowboys and their fans.
Even right now Texans are only a game out of playoffs. Jags will probably lose at least 2 of the next 3 and Chargers injuries will cause them to falter over next 3. By week 8, pretty sure Texans will be firmly in the WC projections
These guys are playing a violent, emotional sport for high stakes. What Noel did is nothing. It's not like he stabbed somebody to death and got a way with it (allegedly).
