Oh don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the performance, it restores hope that the season isn't lost... but it's important to remember that the Ravens are the worst defense in the NFL giving up an average of 35 points per game AND they were missing basically all of their best players.
The spread was 2. They won by over 30. Anyone pointing to ‘but this is a JV team’ is just a malcontent intent on supporting their prior assertions that CJ is a bottom-10 quarterback, the coach is an idiot, the GM should be fired, etc. Typical whining from arrogant losers who simply have no idea what they are talking about despite their projections of confidence and barrage of insults. The Texans looked like a really good team, and did what a really good team should do. Let’s be happy for a change.
Man, that was fun and now we get to relish in the afterglow for 2 WEEKS!! Yes, the Ravens suck and the Titans were bad, but this is what our offense "could" look like......................my only concern is the "quality" of the individuals of the Oline, a good rookie and 4 average to below average lineman, scheming will only get us so far, if I am being honest I am not sure if they will hold up against team like the Lions or Bills................BUT, we are getting better each week, and I hope we can continue to get better because I loved what I saw yesterday, everyone had fun and CJ looked like CJ, give him time and the kid is ALL PRO
Maybe the sum of the o line will end up being greater than the parts. If this team could somehow manage to score about 20 points a game, most other teams would be hard pressed to get 20 against us. I will say the schedule moving forward is a bear. If this team makes it to the playoffs, it will be deserved
I don't care about any other moments of minor success that were had during his tenure, THIS moment will forever be my favorite Bill O'Brien moment.
Yeah I mean the game really couldn’t have gone any better. Almost nothing to nitpick, except maybe pull the starters earlier? I don’t understand what people want. I don’t wanna hear **** about injuries after the season the Astros had.
There are so many “good” ones “doesn’t matter what it looked like Brian” “I dunno JOHN I NEED TO WATCH THE TAPE” - after destroying the titans 59-14 or whatever “it wasn’t horseshit on offense” - after being down 31-3 at halftime to the drew locke broncos “capital T capital E capital A capital M”
I like being specific about WHY I'm happy. Beating the teams you should beat is an improvement over our previous two seasons. The #1 points against Defense against a top toughest schedule confirms what I expected. Two reasons to be HAPPY.
CJ needed a vet C, especially in a Shanny system but they let Deiter walk in 24. Surprise CJ has a regression year with an inexperienced C. Now he’s got a vet C familiar with the system and surprise he does well. No one really mentions how important a vet C is in the development of a young QB.
