I'd like Reed to start ASAP.

One thing the FVV injury gives the Rockets is plenty of time before the trade deadline to see if Reed and/or Amen are capable PGs THIS year.

If neither are ready, then you have to make a move for a PG before the trade deadline.

So it's better to find that out sooner rather than months into the season with less time to evaluate.

Watch out for Davison. He's an Udoka signing, he had him in Boston, he's developed, he's physical... If Reed doesn't man up in the camp, it wouldn't surprise me to see JD starting.

I’m willing to bet if FVV was not injured, he’d still say there is one spot undetermined

Reed is in the pole position and it's his to lose. Not really a debatable point IMO. He will have to flub it up pretty badly.

Ime won't publicly announce anything until after the final preseason game.

I don't think he'll start but I do think he gets some PT. He has size, he has experience, and he can hit the open shot. I think he would be perfect next to Amen. But let's see

I think because of familiarity with the team, Aaron Holiday should get the start.

I still like the idea of starting Adams/Capella. It'll throw off most teams off. Don't have to log huge minutes, but just set the tone.

Reading the tea leaves, DFS won't be healthy and the Rockets new version of Daishen Nix is saying Tari for 6th man....... seems pretty clear Reed Sheppard is the favorite for that 5th starter spot as the only guard on the court.

Yea agreed at this point we definitely need to start Reed and see what we really have there. I think it may be a bit easier for him playing with the starting lineup as he would have competent players to pass to, as opposed to the summer league stint.

First game is against okc, so we gotta play tari. Tari as a starter is pretty impressive last year.

Just fyi the person that tweeted this also said he is getting the sense that Reed will be the 5th starter.

I'm with Jackson....I don't think it's 100% sure, but I think it's going to be Reed based off what Ime and his teammates have been saying
