I wish this was the real problem because it would be an easy fix. Unfortunately this isn't the main two issues.
Go checkout PFF's ol rankings. Not that PFF is everything. Also I expect the rookie WR's to look at least like Odunze did last year. But really more like Keon Coleman or BTJ.
Can he still play safety? Meco was open, days before facing the Chargers and their no post season wins qb, he wanted MCConkey.
I'm not going to kill them for actively looking for a WR. But everyone saw Diggs regress across the '23 season. He was 31 (red flag), being jettisoned by a legitimate contender (red flag #2!), and a known malcontent (red flag #3!). But typical Caserio: buy low on a declining asset, his specialty. BTW, far more egregious than trading for Diggs: Caserio did not sign a single offensive lineman during the '24 offseason.
I didn't so much hate the diggs idea, but the price was INSANE. If it was a 5th or something reasonable i would've understood but giving up a 2nd for 1 year of him was asinine at the time and looks worse now.
Each individually or combined? In either case, I hope you’re right since that would mean a pretty significant improvement from the first quarter of the season. Also did you mean they’d look more like Brian Thomas Jr???
BTJ has been invisible this season. The 3 Texans rookies (WR/RB) have more receiving yards and TDs than he does.
I know who he is, I just hope our rookie WRs end up better this year than his 2nd year with the Jags does.
