Tari looks like he's gone unless Stone gives him that Jabari extension. He says he wants to start, deserves more minutes and has proved it by his stats. I think if the extension isn't done before season starts, I bet he gets traded before ASB deadline.
You are right, he will be a RFA - but then can sign the QO and be a complete free agent the year after. We aren't going to be able to keep everyone.....let's see what happens.....but I would GUESS that the org is playing hardball on his deal. DD
Bro what? How is this anything like what Cam has said. There was nothing wrong with Tari's responses at all. Of course he wants an expanded role 99% of players in the league do. Tari is a professional who wants to be great but he is also in a contract year. Nothing wrong with wanting more. We also don't know what type of contract the Rockets are offering him it might be an extreme lowball. Essentially Tari needs to get his body right and healthy and he will be a top 6 player on a championship team.
Tari’s confidence is working against him right now. He should have said: I know I deserve a bigger role and I’m going to prove it, it’s a contract year and I’m ready for the challenge. But I don’t fully blame Tari, his name has been out there a lot and obviously Stone not re-assuring him behind closed doors they really value him despite no contract extension.
Sengun introduces his brother to Durant. I get a kick out of everyone loving to throw the Hs up in all walks of life
That is 100% the same thing that Cam was saying - I think Tari is right, just as I thought Cam was right. But Tari is facing competition from Amen, Jabari, DFS, and the double bigs lineup at times. THIS is why I don't think we should have signed DFS......we had his role covered already, now, I am guessing that Tari will need to leave....just like CAM to get the role he probably deserves. DD
Yeah the DFS signing was the writing on the wall and I still don’t get why they felt it was necessary.
Tari and his mama are both delusional. Dude played 57 games last year and 22 the season before. He probably would have a bigger role by now if he could stay on the floor. He needs to just try to stay healthy and earn a bigger role. It's not the Rockets fault he's been injured.
Reed is the worst interview ever, full of cliches and inability to expound. "I'm really excited" "I can't wait" "Looking forward to it" Rinse and repeat times a million.
Yeah it was bad. Maybe he was nervous as he knew they were going to be asking him about filling in FVV shoes.
