We’ll see what they can come up with.

Jalen Green being a 4th year player and still too dumb to figure out a counter against a defense he's seen before is why we couldn't get past GSW. Our offensive focal point was horrible in six out of seven games. That's why they traded him. Ime had no patience for the fastest guy on the court not being able to figure out how to score more than 8 points on terrible efficiency.

Lol what? Reed Sheppard on Curry is a very favorable match up for the Rockets.

Curry has neither a height or athleticism advantage over Sheppard. No way you waste Amen on that assignment.

No pressure on us. We're still underdog Rocky and not yet the champ. If we lose two consecutive finals or win one, then the pressure will be on.

What's there to come get me about? @cmoak1982 made it clear that the combine scores are infallible. So Reed has tiny little t-rex arms and can only reach 1'7" above his own head with those tiny little midget arms.

If you think pressure mounts in a city because your sports teams might not be good - then you probably need to find some hobbies in your life and try being less pathetic. Sports is entertainment after all and whether Houston competes for a title is besides the point if this year is the "Amen makes a leap" year I think it probably will be. Ultimately KD and Fred are short term success enablers but all of this is really built on whether guys like Amen and Alpi can be foundational players in the NBA long term. If those guys can show that capability this year - there is far less pressure on them.

Where the pressure really ramps up for the Rockets organization is if we realize these might not be the guys you build teams around because then you got aging role players and 2nd and 3rd tier stars and a very short "win now" window and we find ourselves still searching for a core to build around.

180+ years of existence among Rockets/Astros/Texans/Oilers with 3 championships to show for it. Pretty sure this is easily the least pressured sports town among the biggest US cities. I still remember Texans' fans being proud of winning 8-8/9-7 division titles like they're amazing accomplishments.

This is why I laugh when people say these last few weeks have been historically bad for Houston sports.

From the time I was born until I graduated high school, the Astros made the playoffs once.

From 1st through 12th grade, the Houston Oilers were 75-93, but only because Earl and crew won double digits the last three years.

From the time the Rockets moved to Houston through my college years, the record was 522-626. And that's including the Moses years. There were only four of those years where the Rockets won more than 45 games and no season in which they won 50.

Oh, and it is four championships: two for the Rockets, two for the Astros. If we count the Aeros and the Comets, we get a few more.

Helps that basketball, and the second half of NFL, seasons take place when the weather is finally nice in Houston. We're not stuck at home with a brown/white landscape and bleak winds during the winter. So even if the Texans or Rockets suck, we can enjoy life outdoors for the first time in months. Takes the sting away.

Yeah I'm not sure how I wrote 3 there instead of 4. I wasn't counting the Aeros and the Comets for obvious reasons, nor Oilers AFL stuff. Also not sure if it's my internet but can't find the edit button for my post to update it. Oh well, in the end 3 or 4 it's still very low number and way below average.

I'm also not sure how Texans fans at this point can possibly even feel disappointment from the team.
