He honestly screwed himself giving Higgins that full guaranteed contract. I can see this come up in next CBA negotiations, where 2nd rounders contract will be normalized like 1st rounders.

I can understand Nick sees Higgins as a 1st rounder and has no problem with a fully guarantee contract, but I would like to see that 5th year option attached.

    "compete for starting role"

    It's a done deal, man.

Higgins opposite Nico is going to be special. Hard to double both and put
9-men in the box. Run-game and slot/TE's should get open field.

We have guys that can beat the zone

Yeah, but some say the Texans WR's besides Collins have trouble getting separation. Another fallacy.

And CJ needs to get his head out of his ass. Nick should have designed plays for Higgins as well (haven't seen any). Get. Him. The. Ball.

Yes he does and I would like to see him get more snaps from the slot where he can use that big body like the Saints used to use Micheal Thomas. I also think he would be a great weapon using Higgins speed on slot fade fade routes.

Why am I asking too much?

He played quite a bit in the slot at Iowa St.

Aren't all "receiving snaps" a "separation opportunity"?

Assuming the rest are running plays.
Those are the snaps he’s had at WR…..I think.
I do know he hasn’t topped 44% snap count in any game.

Edit* 76 snaps total on the season. Assuming the 39 is passing plays, 16 of those are separation opportunities.
To your question, I’m not sure what qualifies an opportunity.
Like you said, shouldn’t all receiving plays be opportunities?
Maybe they’re talking man coverage versus zone.
