I made it until midway through the 2nd quarter. Coogs trailing by 14 with the 9:30 pm start time what time did game end? Some time after midnight? Honest opinion based on the part of the game I watched I was shocked to see this morning that we came back and won the game in OT. They pretty much had their way with us. If we play like this next week against TT it could get ugly. Kudos to all of you that managed to stay up and watch the whole game.
I'm more curious to know why he chose to call the timeout that iced his own kicker just before the game winning field goal. That was. Unusual!
it ended around 1am or a lil bit later local time. you won't believe this but it really should not have gotten to over time. Coogs had the chance to walk it off in the 4th. Coogs had the ball with <2 mins left. Run the football, get to FG range, then kick the game winning FG. Nope, decided to throw the football on 2nd and 3rd down even though they only needed about 6yds.
i didn't want to point that out because i'm 100% sure for those who watched it were baffled on why he did that. even the beavs were wondering the same thing as pointed out by the broadcast team.
as pointed out by buck, the coogs OL/DL were manhandled for pretty much 90% of the game. beavs were avging prolly close to 6-7yds per run and caused havoc in the backfield to weigman and connors. beavs defense fell apart in the 2nd half and coogs' special team stepped up.
Unfortunately, Tech will bring a big dose of reality next week. UH can't afford to buy the talent that other teams can.
Turned off the game when it was 24-10 and Oregon State looked like they were going to continue ramming the ball down UH's throat. I literally just found out they came back and won. Enjoy the 4-0 start but now the hard slog begins.
UH went to no huddle and that flipped the game in the 4th quarter, and Oregon St saw their Art Briles special teams get 2 FG's blocked and went for it on 4th down in overtime and lost the game.
