Whatever - The reality is that the Astros had the worst injuries in baseball, and even the guys that came back were arguably rushed. No one knows what is going on with Yordan - Hader and Sauza are question marks. Something is going on with Framber --- and Walker and Diaz are mediocre at this point. I will say I am excited about 2026 though. Javier should be better -- Brown is an ace -- Hader/Sauza/Abreu will be good.......... Yordan should be a full time DH .... Paredes is legit, Correa is fine and Altuve is good when they don't over play him....... Meyers and Pena are solid (if they both are back) and Cam Smith should be better, and maybe Zach Cole fields well enough and hits with enough power to be a solid starter. The playoffs are wide open, but since the Hader and Paredes injuries I have found myself thinking more and more about 2026. Send Espada home - hire a real manager and replace half the coaches..... trade Walker and get another pitcher and let Brown see what he can get done. At least Crane isn't McNair or "Shut up and listen!"
That's the thing I appreciate about Crane. He isnt some owner who settles for mediocrity; I expect many changes with the coaching staff. Hopefully he'll let Brown do his job.
