I don't want Mike McDaniel ANYWHERE near this team. It's obvious, if they're going to dumpster-dive for offensive line talent, that they need a good *teacher* in the room, and Mike McDaniel does not give off good teacher vibes; more Cocaine Kingpin In Way Over His Head vibes. His teams are as undisciplined as the Texans. Frankly, I'm surprised Caserio is still here. I thought DeMeco might placate him for a year and then start bringing in his 49ers guys. It's interesting how he's seemingly steered away from them, perhaps due to Slowick. Like, kind of surprised Jordan Mason or Aaron Brooks or, really, Deebo Samuel didn't pop up on their radar. Maybe they did, and DeMeco didn't think much of them - but it does feel like they're turning away from the 49ers roots.
Not really, Higgins and Noel are solid, Kirk if healthy will be an upgrade. The guy getting them the ball is an issue.
He has to go. Yesterday! And every NE Patriots way hire in the building. If an usher or administrative assistant has NE Patriots in thier resume I want them shown the exit. fyi, our head draft scout is a….drum roll please….a former NE Patriots Way scout James Liipfert. I want a purge of this NE Patriots Way disease! https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...-James-Liipfert-college-scouting-17525945.php
Nick Caserio has said his Scouts and Staff who sees certain players are selecting the players suring the Draft. The Scouts should be held accountable the most, whoever the Player Drafted by the Scout needs to be gone.
After watching the Ravens - Lions game, I have to say, I am jealous. We are NOWHERE near the level of either of these teams and I like Nick, but this is a results-oriented game and the results on the field are not cutting it. There is plenty of blame to go around, Demeco needs to be better, CJ has to be better, and our draft picks have to be better but it all starts at the top. Something has to change....................IMO elevating a play caller who's never done it and not addressing the O Line is a huge deal and its not working. We are about to pay CJ $60 million per year and I am not sure if he will be any better than what we see now because we have surrounded him with a BS line and a scheme that is Vanilla. Yes, CJ looks bad but its hard to tell WHAT he is at this stage because we have wasted the past year trying to scheme with below average lineman. IMO its time for a new VISION...........................this one sucks
Higgins/Noel have 6 combined receptions for the season. I like both of them but expecting them to contribute right away was a tall ask and there is a strong chance the season could be over before they do. Combine that with the OL, a rookie OC, and CJ’s issues, the offense is just an all around mess. A lot of that is on Caserio IMO.
I get it, the way he carries himself is off-putting. I would never advocate for him to be our head coach based on what I've seen, and I have no idea how well he'd click with CJ which would be key. He's just a logical name given that his team is 0-3. And I'm not sure who else will be available at season's end with playcalling experience, which I think is a must if Caley doesn't get this turned around. I also think that Tua is a low IQ, one-trick pony that McDaniels made look good at first - defenses figured out how to neutralize Tyreek, and when Tua has to think and process through other options in the pocket, he falls apart. While CJ may have regressed, I think he's much more capable than Tua. McDaniels checks a lot of boxes that you might not get elsewhere...Kubiak/Shanahan tree (should be quick to get the offense off the ground since CJ played under Slowik), worked with DeMeco in SF, and successful playcalling experience. Would be interested to hear other names that might be out there though if it comes down to it.
Mike McCarthy would be at the top of my list, in terms of who's out there right now. I would jump all over Daboll if he's fired. His work with Josh Allen was terrific. The other names I would have on a list who *might* be available: Kevin Stefanski & Kellen Moore. I'll tell you something else I'd give a tremendous amount of thought to: firing Popovich and dumping a Brinks truck in Mike Munchak's front yard to come coach the OL.
Right now I'd take any of those guys in a heartbeat. Daboll is a good one that slipped my mind, didn't realize this was already year 4 for him.
Daibol is a fraud. He’s had 5 years to fix a terrible Oline and it’s still terrible. He’s also part of the NE Patriots Way tree. Daniel Jones sucked under his watch and was released only to experience a resurgence under a legit offensive mind in Shane Steichen. Also he’s an a$$hole according to Giants fans.
