Royals are probably going to lose by 1 run.

If the WC series goes all 3 games, Blubaugh will have to start game 2. Outside of Skubal, I’m not sure the Tigers have an option that is better than him right now.

At this point though Tigers might be choking away the 2 seed. Just need to win this series against the Mariners this weekend.

It’s official. Detroit lost again. 1 back of Detroit for 2-seed (Tigers own tie-breaker). Seattle up 1-0 late on KC w/ Castillo out of the game. Seattle win and we enter tomorrow’s series tied

Javier or Alexander - whoever doesn’t pitch game 3 in the WC series

Did y'all see that a shift violation was called on KC that let Seattle get that 2nd run?

Sheesh, that probably hasn't been called all season. And apparently you can challenge it because Seattle did and the 3rd out was overturned into a base runner.

    Boston lost so that's good.

We are 1 game up on them but without the tiebreaker. Gives us another avenue for the playoffs should the Guardians keep going nuts to end the season and we fail to win the division.

that is way fun . Let’s see brown throw up zeros in his next start. He may not be a shoo in for Cy young but don’t make it easy for the voters, hunter. Give them something to think about

Wish they would've won that game against the Rockies that Espada started an AAA lineup against.

If the Yankees lose tonight, we are only 1 back and we own the tiebreaker.

Seattle's next 2 series are Col and a likely resting Dodgers team. Meanwhile, Stros are facing Angels/A's who they are 0.500 against this year.

Stros may have to sweep Seattle to hold onto the division as it basically creates a 4 game lead due to the tiebreaker. Getting only a series win, is only a 2 game lead due to tiebreaker.

Only thing is I don't think this years Stros really scare the Yankees if they have to face off in the WC round.

I think every version of the Astros scare the Yankees. And rightfully so.

I'll go one step further with this Detroit narrative.

If the Guardians sweep the Tigers next week, the Tigers will not even make the playoffs.
