Nay. The farmers that are going out of business are those that export. Think soybeans to China. No impact on American food security. But if there is an impact, that’s on the administration for self-sabotaging our food supply, and they can reverse course to correct it.

I assume that's their business and livelihood, so they continue to grow soybeans. The question is, did they not know it would happen again, but worse than v1? For someone in that business, you absolutely should know. It's not like another person who can be easily fooled by rhetoric. Their business was impacted before. I guess it might come down to them believing they would be bailed out if it came to that, or believing it would be different this time... foolishly

i don't need farmers' votes, i need their food. whatever's been done in the past to stabilize and incentivize, hedge the risk and automate the work when you can also how and when do you punish people for putting other people in power
