Literally how do you sprain your ankle crossing home plate? What kind of an OAF does that?

Alvarez can't get out of his own way.

To me Alexander looked the best he’s looked last night. I am coming around on him as a potential playoff starter.

    SP: Brown, Framber, Alexander, Blubaugh
RP: Abreu, King, Okert, De Los Santos, Kimbrel, Murray, Javier, Gordon, France

If both Hader and Sousa are out for the playoffs then the bullpen is gonna be a liability.

you obviously have never worn cleats before. You can break your ass walking on any smooth surface. That’s not a Yordan issue.

I think they are going to use Blubaugh out of the pen. The way Framber is going right now, both him and Alexander have to be on a short leashes in the playoffs. Blubaugh gives you the option to keep yourself in the game for 3+ innings if either of them need a quick hook. If the game is already too out of hand or they actually both perform well so he’s not needed, you can pitch him in tandem with Javier.

I don’t think they are going to want to mess with Javier in the pen coming off TJ surgery.

I still feel Javier is so close to getting it all back together. Lets hope he does.

I think Javier would be used as a multi-inning bulk RP whose appearance would be pre-scheduled such that it wouldn’t be much different than if he were a starter.

I could see that as well but I do think the advantage of having Blubaugh in the pen and not needing to pre-schedule him outweighs the advantage of starting him over Javier.

I just think the bullpen needs the boost if Sousa and Hader are done, which it seems like that’s almost guaranteed at this point.

11 games left. 10-1 clinches #2 seed. 7-4 wins the division. 5-6 gets a WC. 4-7 or worse and it’s better luck next year.

Don’t they typically have to wait for the swelling to go down to have the MRI be useful?

I don’t think he’s coming back this season. Maybe a small chance he could DH if the Astros make it into the later portions of the post season.

I would trade Pena this offseason only if I could get a SP1 for him.

Yea, I am not a fan of trading Pena BUT if you can get a top tier SP then I am all in.................Pena is a special everyday player, and he should command top compensation
