Overall a successful series but unfortunately the mariners are never losing another baseball game again.
had to come to an end eventually. We’ve experienced more success in the last 8-9 years than some teams in their entire history
First the division tie is gone. If the 2 game lead for the wild card is gone then Joe and Cintron are gone. Good news…then Valdez is gone.
That crap he pulled on Salazar was enough for me. I didn’t realize he’s almost 32. Bye bye Framber. He’s getting hammered on twitter.
If you consider that "this fan base" has watched this same act (brilliance interspersed with mental breakdowns) from Framber for the past 5+ years, yeah, I guess you could say it's "fast"
Yes, he is checked out and doesn’t give a damn. This is his middle finger to the Astros because he knows he’s not returning next year. A selfish player that never bled orange.
Nah, they'll just use this as an excuse to do a mediocre rebuild and keep the current coaches. Our record for the next few years maybe 75-85 wins at best and no playoffs. They will try to maximize what they can get for the current players worth anything, but not just give them away to do a complete rebuild. Yordan may be the next guy out as we could get a king's ransom for him compared to anyone else. Brown and Abreu would be the only other players I could see pulling a haul, but unsure we let them go until it's certain this team is in sell mode. Altuve will play out his contract and Correa may be out after he is not vested.
Lost Alex Bregman Kyle Tucker Lost Isaac Paredes (injury) won't be the same Cam Smith (lost his swing) Hayden Wesneski - TJ Surgery - 2 years later Luis Garcia Out for Season Spencer Arrighetti - Elbow - TJ maybe Josh Hader - Out until Playoffs
So you think he decided to play hard for half a year and then, out of an apparent new spite for the Astros, sacrifice $50-$100MM on his next contract by choice? People create some weird narratives to support whatever they want to believe. Maybe he's just a headcase like he's always been and is sucking right now. There doesn't need to be some weird self-destructive motive involved. Outside of maybe Lance McCullers, all the other Astros players happily would take more money to play elsewhere, as most have when the opportunity arises. And rightfully so - we've all seen how fans are treating McCullers in exchange for his loyalty.
