Following the first photos yesterday, the first trailer is here for dystopian horror film “The Loing Walk” directed by “The Hunger Games” alum Francis Lawrence.

The film’s story is based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Stephen King, Penned under King’s pseudonym Richard Bachman and perceived as a political allegory for the Vietnam War.

King’s story is set in a future dystopian America in which one hundred teenage boys participate in an annual non-stop walking contest.

The rules are simple: maintain a speed above 3 miles per hour. Receive three warnings in an hour and you’re shot dead. The last one walking gets whatever he wants for the rest of his life.

The story follows a sixteen-year-old walker named Raymond Garraty and the teens, some good, some bad, some mysterious, in his orbit.

Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Mark Hamill and Judy Greer star in the film which will be released in cinemas on September 12th.

The novel was always a personal favorite of mine, this adaptation looks pretty true to the story.....

Uh…if 100 modern teenaged boys had to maintain 3mph indefinitely it would be a short movie.

    9/10

one of the best films I’ve seen this year

these kids were basically at war, and some of them band together to become brothers

some emotional moments in there as well

I genuinely loved the main cast, and David Jonsson and Cooper Hoffman really stood out

you feel a genuine strong bond form between the 2 of them

I don’t go to the movies much these days because I’d rather wait and just stream it in the comfort of my own home, but I was told that I should check this one out, and I’m glad I did

I found myself really rooting for these characters

I'm in total agreement, really one of the best adaptations of King's work. This film really captures what makes King's work, especially his earlier stuff work so well, his characters feel real even when they are thrown into crazy situations.

This film is almost like a cross between Stand by Me and Saving Private Ryan, the wife didn't know anything about the story going and she was pissed off that I didn't tell her she going to need so many tissues A for me.....
