Weigman definitely an upgrade from Donovan Smith. I know its early in the season but I am impressed with what Coogs are doing so far. Exceeding my expectations and looking good in all phases of the game.
As a Coog fan I hate that they are off next week. They are 3-0 for the first time since I don't remember when. They no doubt will get a reality check when they get into the meat of the Big 12 schedule. But this bye week is coming at a great time. The offensive line in particular is banged up right now. The extra week off will give them as well as others time to heal. If they can keep a healthy OL intact to protect the QB and provide holes for their running game they should have a chance to win in every game. They appear to have turned the corner since DH was shown the door. Great job so far by Willie Fritz.
What to like is that the Cougars analyzed the defense, but more importantly, they actually adapted strategically. That is how you win football games.
Coogs looking solid if unspectacular. Good QB, good kicker, solid RB, and a damn good defense. Credit to the new babyfaced DC for keeping the D rolling. Willie’s got em all executing the plan. Feels like a winning year in the making.
Looks like coach has everyone on the same page. I enjoyed the game. Maybe they'll stun a few Big XII teams on the road this season.
