Osman is their second leading scorer and is shooting >50% from long range. When defenses collapse on Alpi, he has a knack for cutting to the basket on the baseline or finding an open spot on the 3-point line. Turkey will be very easy to defend without Osman on the floor.

But it's all good from a Rockets standpoint. In addition to the "friendlies", Alpi has played 7 hard, productive games and that's enough for me.

 

At this point, keeping him fit and healthy is key.....a medal is only great for his country and morale but overall the NBA is a different beast, regular Season a battle of attrition.

FIBA and especially EuroBasket is extremely important for Euro players. If you want to be a real legend of your country you need to win something with the NT. The elimination against Finland did some serious damage to Jokic's legacy.

From Alpi's perspective is this the biggest game of his career so far. I am sure he wants to avoid an injury as much as possible but he won't hold back in any way.

 

In EuroBasket, Giannis is headache to score on...
