The more I watch the rockets, the more I get pissed off at them. And it's not because of a certain player or two...it's basically our offensive scheme...well, maybe plus the incompetence of our PGs. It takes us at least 8-10 seconds to get into our offense. That leaves us with 14 seconds to run a play or two. This is simply not enough time. The first problem we must solve is to get our play started with 18-20 seconds left on the clock. This should solve a lot of problems, but it doesn't stop here. When I watch a team like the jazz play, I realize that they shouldn't be able to score more than 80 points a game. Where do there points come from? Their system...and how it allows their players to reach their potential. Our offense is basically dishing it into the post and see what Yao or Motay can do. If that doesn't work, then we'll kick it out for a 3 or giving it to Tmac so he can play ISO. This is just too simple. We can't just allow defenses to know exactly what we're trying to do. Last night against Memphis, we looked so lost against their zone. It seems like whenever we play against a zone and we can't find any points in the paint, we struggle. We can never get any easy midrange shots or anything of that sort. Tmac saved us last night with his spectacular performance. We basically just need some type of motion offense just like the jazz when we play against the zone. We're fine when it's man on man, but with the zone we have to get creative. We can't just stand there on offense and let 2 players create. Everybody has to basically move around and looking to pass the ball. This way we can find open shots. I wish we could just let JVG handle the defense and let another coach handle the offense like football teams. I'm tired of typing, but tell me what yall think.
You know for NYers supposely have the best basketball players & personal well JVG and crew suk. He brings his NY coaches, players, & style to H-town and runs off probably the best backcourt we ever had & for what? It hasn't won him nothing. His schema suks azz and is hard on the eyes. Go back to the broadcast booth. Rocket fans we just found a replacement for C.Murph.
