Should be pretty easy to see WAR between his previous 6 weeks and Correa’s since he has been acquired. My guess is that it’s not all that significant. The Hader loss, Framber’s regression, and a hodge-podge/mixed 3-6 performance from the rest of the rotation sans Gusto seems to be the bigger inflection points, once you account for the expected trickle-down time frame effect of what regressing pitching performance does. The offense been bad all season (regardless of Yordan being there)… when the pitching started going south, the wins started becoming less.
Gotta make the plays that are there to be made. You know Walker will say he should have made the play at first and someone should have made that play in the outfield. At least his pitch count wasn't blown up too badly.
I think we have all been expecting the Astros to right the ship, but they were playing over their heads in June. The pitching just is not good enough anymore. The future looks grim.
What sucks is we should have already taken 2 games in this series and we’d all be content with that outcome even losing today
Javier throwing balls or meatballs in the middle or it feels like that for hitters because it's 91-92mph. Offspeed rest of the game?
This team is the definition of an unserious baseball team. They’ll be watching the postseason from their couch.
Ok so officially we are repeating the end of the 2023 season. Unless we decide to sweep both Seattle and Texas at home. Get ready for 0-fer RISP all next week. Could be a complete disaster.
