On a side note, talk about irony, right now McGrady is averaging more assist per game then Steve Francis. Yet, we have Rocket fans bragging about Francis winning more games in November then McGrady did last year. We'll see how many of those fans jump on the McGrady bandwagon as the season goes along.
Actually about 30 other NBA players are averaging more assists than Francis, but as long as they're winning that won't be an issue for Magic fans...I'm sure it'll be a BIG issue once they lose a few.
I like Steve and I am happy he is doing well I think alot of folx were very unfair to him last year I'm happy to see him prove them Wrong Rocket River
damn, steve must've pissed in SRF and RM's cereal this morning. they've spent about 9 posts in a row talking to each other about how bad it is that francis is getting some love right now. i'm a rockets fan, i'm happy they made the trade, i would trade francis for tmac 100 out of 100 times, but i'm also happy for francis. is that not allowed over in the nba dish forum? a few fans start saying orlando is better than us and y'all snap while most of them are just happy to see steve do well. he's gone, it's ok now, he can't hurt y'all any more, you don't have to bash him incessantly.
I'm happy for Steve and company, but don't these stats sound familiar. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=241105003 With the victory the Magic are 2-0, despite barely shooting better than 40 percent and turning the ball over 19 times against New Orleans.
Yeah, those stats sound familar, they sound like the Rockets' first two games. We even had a player with 6 turnovers in one of those games.
why can't people just be happy for steve he is playing good, and winning games. i want the rockets to be the best team in the nba, But i also hope Francis succeeds, he is a special player for me, He played his hart out every year with the rockets. I was in favour of the trade because it was the best for the rockets. But francis is a great player, Last year alot of people weren't fair to him. Go rockets. Go T-Mac go Francis (only not against the rockets)
If your implying T-Mac, he had 3, 1, 4 TO in the first 3 games. Francis on the other hand....2 and 7 so 9 To in 2 games versus 8 in 3 i will take McGrady on this one.
It's not the people being happy for Steve that I mind, or that I think anyone else does. And I don't want to speak for everyone else, but I think, IMO It's the people that are happy for Steve and then place him above T-mac for winning 2 games in this early regular season, that gets the type of response that seems to come off as "steve hating". I mean, it's pretty ridiculous, to say, 'don't bash an EX rocket', but then go on to unjustly degrade a CURRENT rocket by comparing their games over a 2 game period.
well yeah the wins are nice...but i think overall if our team was in the east we would have a field day too. I am very happy for steve being in a situation where he can strive and really show his skill. I think we will be fine in the long run. We are in the hardest division and it is going to show in our division record. The wins will fall in place for the rockets.... Basically i think the NBA should implement a Eastern Conference Curve like in college...basically to make it up to par wins wise compared to the west hehe.
i am sorry, i was saying that rockets were 1-1 vs detroit last year B]with steve[/B] and plus we never lost to toronto when steve was here
Why can only one be doing well, or be deserving of praise? I hate that. I think Steve has been a hero for Orlando so far this season. Despite the TO's Steve made a good pass, and then a clutch follow up for the game winner. Way to go Steve. But what Steve has done doesn't take anything away from TMacs great game last night, and our win. Because Steve has been doing great doesn't mean I regret the trade either. I like what our team is capable of with Tmac, but that doesn't mean I have to nitpick flaws with Steve's game in Orlando to feel good about having TMac on our team. I guess it is natural to see how both players are doing and compare them to a degree. But it comparing doesn't mean it has to be competition with only one winner. I'm happy for STeve and hope that he's the hero in every game the Orlando Magic except for 2. As far s tmac I hope he leads us to the promised land. I hope Tmac starts shooting better, and takes us to the promised land. I will be happy whenever either one of these players has a good game. I won't feel threatened when Steve is a hero, and Orlando is winning more than the Rockets(except when they play the Rockets of course.) I don't see what's hard about being happy with both situations.
Steve is definately helping the Magic, but watching the game, I almost want to scream at him for the same things from last year. He bobbled the ball out of bounds with no pressure, then weakly fouled Gerald Wallace on a breakaway shortly after to give an and 1. BTW, Brezec looks good for Charlotte, and the Magic are threatening to be the Bobcats' first victim
