And don't forget about DFS. He's a plus defender. Pair him with Durant and either Tari or Jabari and that's a hard group to score on. Oh yeah, Amen's prowling out there too.

Rockets should go with the Turkish spelling on the back of the jerseys. Show the man some respect.

I agree, and I'm surprised that the Rockets didn't do it a couple of years ago. I hope they wake up and make the change this season.

Because he's cool. If you were cool, then that question would have never occurred to you.

I must admit I didn't even realise that was the correct spelling until Eurobasket. They should definitely have the correct letters in his name, he's the star ffs. I need to look up the alt codes now so i can spell it correctly.

I remember that back in Sengun's draft year O'Connor was virtually alone in claiming that Sengun was the player with the highest upside.

Don't forget the dude who predicts all the later 1st round picks who turn out to be amazing. I'm **** at remembering forum names Medicine and Magic maybe or something like that? Dude is SUPER credible in my eyes, his draft evaluations are actually really on point.

Didn't we all agree Şengün's nickname was
"Six gun" a long time ago?

Sengun was mvp in a major league at 18 years old, with skill, motor, and iq while not having the best athletic qualities. This dude interpreted it as a very big positive, and was correct.

On the other side, posters argued you can't teach athleticism and height, therefore it makes better sense to go with players who has those traits, even though they hadn't developed any skills. Even tried to put on a positive spin on that as 'has most upside'. Yeah they had the most upside with exponentially low chances of achieving it, unless you have a reasonable explanation to why they haven't realized any of that upside yet. This is almost always a failed strategy, whether you take big raw man with no skills or athletic guard with no skills. Of course every now and then some of them will eventually turn out to be good/okay/great but those are the ones that can learn, has a drive to learn. It is a separate skill.

It is really one solid rule: dominate adult league at a young age and you should be a top 5 pick, no matter what.

    A Leap?

KOC is jumping the gun IMO. Sengun was an All-Star last season, a Leap from an All-Star level up is a very low probability thing… And he’s basing it on FIBA Eurobasket? Let me remind people that the last FIBA Worlds MVP was…. Dennis Schroeder!! Did Dennis make a Leap after that? NBA is just a ‘hole ‘noter level, man. Leap from All-Star makes you All-NBA, and that’s just not a reasonable thing to expect.

A expect Alpi to continue steady development, to play hard, team ball, to enjoy himself and let’s see where his journey takes him. Calling for a Leap at this juncture is unreasonable.

Everything, literally everything points to Sengun making to leap. So much that even common media can see it.

He is not basing it on Eurobasket, he is basing it on how sengun plays in eurobasket. Larkin could be the mvp of eurobasket and might not even be able to sign a 10 day contract. It is not about being the mvp or not. It is the skill set and the body transformation that you see on display. And you can evaluate if he can do it at a higher level or not, it is not that hard after watching him 4 years in the nba.
