I always looked at Sengun as possibly a rich mans Pau Gasol with Jokic lite skillsets for his ceiling. But now with his evolving athleticism, PG and wing skills he's starting to evolve into a unique category of player.

Again you always have to be grounded based on competition vs the NBA, but if he starts becoming a traditional 6'11 240 lb center with a dominant post game, who can also run the floor and play like a wing and point forward who can hit threes. As well as rebound and move his feet on defense, that can be terrifying for opposing teams. That's moving into unicorn territory, we'll see what happens.

But his game may become not just Eurobasket but an NBA fan favorite to watch.

Been saying Sengun isnt baby Jokic. He's jumbo Ginobili.

If Wemby is working with Hakeem, Sengun can work with Ginobili to hone his Euro steps and flopping skills.

Alperen Sengun is showing the results you get from playing a full round of NBA playoff basketball.

I'm sorry but I feel like as a fanbase we need to have a concerted effort to get this man a better nickname. "The Wizard" is the most generic bullshit ass name ever, we need to do better for the caliber of player Alpi is.

    I agree.

"Whirling Dervish"? or "The Dervish" or how about just "The Dish"

There are an unlimited number of headline variations everytime he has a good game. lol.

Is there a Turkish connection with Dervishes? (Genuine question, I don't know at all.) I just feel like The Wizard is generic as **** and super trash. I'd rather just call him Sengoat than the Wizard.

Sengun throws the H up in every pic. Slim Thug and Paul Wall should be proud.

Wizard is generic but he does look like Harry Potter imo.

whirling dervishes are of Sufi order. A prominent member was the poet Rumi (Persian) and he lived and died in Konya, Turkey. The Sufi order is still alive mainly in Konya in Turkey and other places in and out of Turkey as well.

Oh that's actually interesting, thanks for the info. I just think he deserves better than the Wizard, it's so bland and he's the total opposite of bland in playstyle if you let him cook.

The continuing urbanization of Toyota Center must be stopped.

If Greece beats Turkey we should trade Sengun for Giannis

If Turkey beats Greece Giannis should surrender his MVP trophy and NBA championship to Sengun

For a Turk it is boring as he’ll. I am sure Alperen or most Turks would not like it.
