I always said Sengun has potential for 7-8 assists per game. This tournament made me realize he has potential even for more. I was mainly calibrating my guess comparing to Jokic but his handles, agility and ability to attack the rim opens up assists that Jokic doesn't utilize. This makes up for other Jokic assists that he cannot make because of height or precision.
Alpi with a stellar first half of playmaking and offensive rebounding. Poland's defense is focused to stop him from scoring and he punished them for it. Poland has no shot to win unless this Jordan Loyd guy scores 30. Team Turkey is very prone to sluggish starts, particularly on defense. That could bite them in the medal round.
[Highlight] Alperen Sengun turns defense into offense with huge dunk on Poland, 14-pt lead at half [Highlight] Alperen Sengun no look assist, QF game Türkiye - Poland
Türkiye put too much pressure to ball in 1st Q and punished with weak side points. Offense clicked in 2 ND after alpi starts to get going and defense found balance. 14 point differential. Quality difference is huge. Alpi can do whatever he likes with minimal effort.
