Exactly. Stupid game. The frustration might also have a tiny bit to do with our extreme inability to drive in runs in pressure situations for some time now.
Framber Valdez is starting tomorrow. Astros say Luis Garcia is fine. Is he though?? Valdez had a awful start last time but do they feel they have a better shot at winning with him tomorrow? Want to increase the divisional lead against Texas which is why they made the switch?
Right but that strategy makes more sense to get a runner on 1st into scoring position. If you already have a runner in scoring position... and you're just bunting over to get to third, at the expense of an out.. I realize sac fly wild pitch etc etc but I just feel this team shouldn't be giving up free outs. It's not even controversial anymore to hate bunting or think it's stupid. If any of these dudes were actually good at bunting and practiced it then I might feel differently.
Astros still only up 4 in the loss column to KC (1st team outside the wilcards), who we currently don't have the tiebreaker against and likely won't at season's end. So still got to grind this out.
I want Valdez in Dallas. He has something to prove and he owes his teammates for his last game. Getting shelled because you are bad is one thing, getting shelled because you aren’t focused isn’t acceptable. He is a horse, in great physical shape - he can go.
Matchup wise I’m sure Framber would rather pitch against the Rangers than the Jays as well. The Jays lineup is worlds better right now.
Orioles first team in history to break up a no hitter with a HR with 2 outs and also go on to win the game.
100% agreed. Tomorrow might be the most important start of the entire season for the Astros. So yeah very smart move to have Framber go up against the worst lineup in baseball.
