I found a weather-beaten Nori Aoki (<- 2017 Astros World Champion) baseball card while jogging this morning. I consider this a good sign. Ten-game winning streak incoming.
They’re doing you a favor. Just watch the football game and save yourself the frustration of watching our sorry ass lineup flailing in the box against DeGrom.
With Altuve's OPS in free fall, we're nearing a time where he shouldn't be an entry day player. He's already a complete liability in the field so if he can't maintain close to an .800 OPS, he can't justify a starting spot.
I am starting to wonder who is making these very stupid decisions? If I were the owner, I would probably have a new management team, from top to bottom.
It's a brilliant strategy: only draft/sign/trade for the players who will be good in the future. You could make a lot of money in a MLB front office.
I’ve posted the same regarding this particular lineup slumping, all at once. Its flawed. It’s not uncommon to have these slumps but to avoid the prolonged or “right back in it” slumps you need at least two fundamentally sound batters who break it up. We have Yordan and that’s it. If you don’t have a guy that can have great ABs between 5-9 to do that well here you are. You can hide the warts 5-9 if the top is always on. I have zero stats to back this up but watching the batting order game after game that’s what I’m seeing.
When he's played the balance of games in a season he's a high SO guy, (189avg) that didn't fit who the team was then so I get why they included him. I don't see where losing him has ever really hurt.
I was just fine with Walker but I wanted the Polar Bear, yea maybe he was always going to be a Met but supposedly we never made a serious push for him. He's killed it this year.
