His jump shot has really improved and he raised his game in the clutch on both ends against a very determined Jokic. Leading Turkey to this big win vs Serbia, will really help Sengun to get ready for the NBA season, along with KD.
Small sample size against generally inferior defenders caveats aside, glad to see him comfortably from the outside and also 82% from the FT line. Also as noted by others he just looks sleeker and quicker. Cautiously optimistic this will carry over to next season.
This is another aspect of game that he can learn from Jokic; who calmly talks to all three referees even few possessions after the questionable call. There is no way any ref call a technical to Jokic when asking for a review.
Turkey faces Sweden Saturday/6th at 4:00am Central Time in the elimination round of 16. Sweden finished 1-4 in their group. All of the elimination games are in Riga. Turkey is on one side of the bracket and both Germany and Serbia are in the other. They can only meet those teams in the championship game.
Man I really hope that Alpi will continue to gain confidence with his 3-pointers. He doesn’t have to be 4/7 from 3 every night, but if he averages around 1.5 3pm per game on a 35% accuracy, it will really help our offense with spacing the floor. I mean with Alpi being an even slight threat from distance and KD just being..KD then Amen will be able to get inside the paint more easily, while Bari and Fred will have much more open looks, so they can improve back their accuracy, which was declined last season.
He is currently the best player out of the draft. Chance that Cade surpasses him but it'll be close and they're different players. I cant recall a single Cade Cunningham highlight while Sengun has a Top 30 highlight package probably. Sengun is better offensively today than Evan Mobley ever will be.
Sengun will probably be top 15 center of all time, hall of famer... Yes there are great centers in NBA right now, but none of them impacts the game as Jokic, Sengun and Wemby( he likes to play 4 ). If Rockets add quality players next to Sengun and Amen, they may form dynasty.. And l am serious...
24 teams in this competition is just way too much. This should've just started as a 12~16 tournament instead.

Best 4 advances out of 6. They managed to finish 4th place and now facing group b winner, unbeaten Germany. Serbia match was crucial in order to be on the right side of the bracket since in group stage they played 3 B2B games, a lot of injuries happened. Leaders enjoy at least 1 game with deep rotation and less minutes in last 16 round. We have that luxury against Sweden as well.
I consider Sengun the best players already since he is the only one making less than the max. You can slap in DFS to his salary and thats prob still less than Mobley's salary. So if you add that additional value then IMO he is the best player in the draft.
