Just saw the strike 3 call lol. Watching it seemed like an obvious ball but on the pitch tracker thing, it has the ball slightly in the zone. Probably should have been a ball lol.
- Alexander, quality start due to great offense - Yordan, 4 hits - he looks set to explode - Pena HR, go-ahead RBI single - Abreu, smh - No new injuries
"Baseball is 90 percent mental, and the other half is physical" - Yogi Berra Although, truthfully, I thought the quote was 50% of the game is half mental.
Win is a win. We have been struggling for last 35+ games, but we are still leading Mariners by 4 games and Rangers by 6 games in the loss column with 22 games to go. Of the 22 games, 6 games are with Rangers (3 home 3 away) and 3 games are with Mariners (all at home). We are still in the driver's seat.
On MLB it may just be touching the line. It’s hard to tell. I don’t know how the ump was calling that through the game, but it was close enough you gotta swing.
And yet I'm not sure if we've lost a game all year in which we had a lead after 8. The nature of the last 3 outs, I suppose.
Jazz was never getting that call after all the **** the Yankees gave the umps leading up to that moment. I don’t think there’s ever a benefit of snapping on umpires honestly - they have fragile egos
Still has not resumed throwing. Not throwing for 3 weeks, so should be reassessed in the coming days, since the 3 week mark is coming up.
Mlb app showed it was just off the plate, and it was a slider so it was further outside the plate halfway to home plate, the ump normally won't give you a breaking pitch that is trying to come back to the outside corner and finishes on the black. Bless you ump. You swarmy summamabitch.
Mlb app tracks an "expected W/L" record and ours is 5 games below where we currently are (72-68). So basically we should barely be above .500.
