    Alp and Amen are untouchable.

Could you imagine how disappointing it'd be if we traded Alpi and all that future (plus, Tari, Reed and probably someone else) for a couple years of teetering on the peak of his prime Giannis? I sincerely hope it doesn't happen ever

Don't know about that but not for Giannis. He doesn't fit here

sir I basically said Giannis should stay put since the east is wide open and that the Rockets shouldn't trade for him this season (if given the opportunity). Not unless he asks for a trade to Houston. I wouldn't trade Sengun, which means I wouldn't trade for Giannis. Durant with an improved Sengun, Amen and Jabari (with a healthy Adams and the addition of Capela) are enough to beat OKC and Denver. At this point the Rockets just need good health and great chemistry to win it all. The defense will be there.

A guy that avgs almost a triple double fits everywhere.

I love Alp but I would trade him for Giannis in a heartbeat. The only guy I wouldn't trade would be Amen.

Amen/Giannis/KD is the makings of a very good team.

I get that but with Amen he'll clog the paint. Plus, who are you going to trade for him? I'll give up Jabari but want to keep Amen

I haven't really looked at the roster, but Alp/Tari/two 1sts is where I would start. I'm thinking

    A lineup of

    FVVReed
    Amen/DFS
    Giannis/Adams/Capela
    KD/Jabari
    Jabari/Okogie/DFS

That's a big athletic lineup that can shoot and play great defense. I also believe Amen's outside shooting will improve as he ages. He appears to be a hard worker.

I've also got hopes for Crawford becoming a player. Although I will admit I dont keep up with the NBA like I used too, or like I do the NFL.

I'm not heavily against that. Tari is gone after this year and the firsts will be late. We still need shooters though outside of KD

FVV can shoot/ so can DFS and Bari. I'm hoping Reed rounds into the player he can be. That would heal a lot of the Rockets ails.

Reed coming around would solve a lot. I was hoping he could be a JJ Redick type guy

He probably will be, never forget that despite being genuinely one of the best shooters in league history and a big college star, Redick took a few years before he could even get much court time. Pretty sure he didn't start getting consistent minutes until his 4th or 5th season, and he says himself he had to work like a mother****er to even keep up. Unfortunately for Reed he's probably in that same category of athlete, just one with a higher ceiling and potentially (we hope) a more impactful player over all than JJ ended up being.

Well said. If Reed ends up as Redick I'll be thrilled.

For what it's worth, I think Reed has the characteristics of an "Ime" guy and he was a slightly higher pick so I do think he'll likely get more of a shot than Stan gave JJ in his first few years. Hopefully he's that same kind of gym rat working to make up the difference in genetics, I'd wager he'll at least be able to hit his 3's at a decent clip (maybe not league-beating Curry style shooting tbh lol) and be considered a sharpshooting roleplayer who isn't a complete liability on defense. I do think it's going to take time though, and I'm not sure he'll get enough of a shot here unless we're dominant and blowing every body out for him to get the garbage minutes.

Hopefully he gets legit minutes this year. You're right. It took JJ a little while. Garbage minutes won't help him. My only issue with Reed is it seems he plays scared

Not really since two guys cant shoot and KD is old and injury prone. Teams can just build a wall and both Amen and Giannis are helpless its up to KD to do all the scoring. Both KD and Giannis make over 50M add Amen to that and its just vet mins and non lotto rookie deals for the rest of the team. Worst of all KD is 37 and Giannis is over 30 in 5 yrs you got a washed team, scrubs and Amen who will prob leave cuz the team sucks ass.

Also guess you havent been watching Euro Basket I am pretty sure Sengun has taken the lead over Amen at this point. Amen needs to take it another level he is just a mass of potential RN

I disagree with this, can Alp shoot from 3 better than Gianni's? You're right, I haven't been watching Euro ball.

If there isn’t any news on this, it should not be a topic right now. Y’all already know we would have to gut the team just to get Giannis. So please knock it off.
