We might need the RB be the 2nd block to Verse or any of those guys if the line can't handle it. Gotta give CJ enough time to throw.
Too many people are sleeping on the Texans. I keep seeing them in the 10-12 range. In actuality, they should be in the 6-8 range, but I ain't mad.
I saw a ranking a little while ago that had them 17th. That's ridiculous. They had Jacksonville as better. As if Travis Hunter is suddenly going to make up for huge deficiencies everywhere else. It's ridiculous.
Worried it will be the same old story this weekend with CJ running for his life all game long. Hope I'm wrong.
I'm hoping at the very least the new offense has a better game plan for when protection breaks down. We saw a lot more short yardage plays in the preseason. It always felt so short-sighted last season when the opposing team brought any kind of additional blitz pressure that we didn't seem to often have a quick option available for CJ. But I'm expecting them to not look great, but if they can give CJ a few decent series, it might be enough if our defense plays up to their capability.
There's hope that he's improved so as to fail to realize pressure is coming and not hold on to the ball too long
If we get the same Dalton as last year, I will be ready to jettison him after this year. I have high hopes for Stover and dam it, I feel so bad for B Jordan, this was going to be his year, now its two straight years on the IR, I wonder if he can come back from this
I'm willing to say a lot of it had to do with Stroud not being able to audible or change protections at the line because a lot of it was based on the protections and Stroud holding the ball too long in the context of what the defense was doing. This season, it'll be 100% on him if those things happen
