Crossing his arm, he knows he lost his mind. After he hit Cesar on his arm (would've broken his arm) Framber had zero remorse. This team is done with Framber. Yainer Diaz not catching Framber Valdez anymore, making the Lineup weaker. Should've traded Framber during the off-season or Trade Deadline.
Turns his back on Salazar and has time to adjust his pants…then turns back around. Okay Framber…he’s a head case and then some, but Julia loves him.
Man O Man, Framber done lost his damn mind..............where is the Sports Head Psychologist? I have stuck up for Framber in the past but man when he does this type of **** IMO he is losing out on $$$$$, who is going to give him big bucks knowing he`s a semi head case? If the offense can't get a spark at home against the Yankees, what's it going to take? There are slumps and there is this and this is UGLY, the only saving grace is the Mariners suck as bad as we do right now, we have no right to be in First Place with the way were playing but it is what it is, at this rate were bounced in round one. When the season is over, I hope Crane cleans house with Joe and the Medical Staff, address the Framber issue and figure out who can pitch on this staff and who needs to go...............looking at you Lance
Honestly, send a real message, cut Framber right now. He can't make any other team's playoff roster and I'm not sure we want him pitching for us the way he's looked in his last 10 appearances and DEFINITELY don't want him the way he's looked in his last 5 appearance... and that's just from a performance level, if he really intentionally crossed up his catcher to hit him is even worse plus let's not forget him blaming the defense for his poor pitching. This isn't a guy you want in the team on any level
We have to live with Framber and his mental fragility at this point, but we won't break the bank to sign him. Can you imagine Framber pitching in New York or Philadelphia? He could never handle a place where they boo their own players.
I just don't think we do have to live with him, you can't be a b**** AND a gas can. Both his performance and his behavior has been unacceptable the past several months and he's unrestricted after this season so there's no penalty for just cutting him.
framber, you hold that L and you deserved it. purposely throwing at your teammate is not it. if it was caratini, would he have done it? i doubt it. he took advantage of salazar because he knows salazar is a career minor-leaguer. i hope the team pay Hunter instead of framber. Even though hunter doesn't have no-hitter stuff, at least he doesn't throw a beetch-fest when things don't go his way.
Doesn't every championship team that is completely nuts...? Rather have him over the other nut jobs out there.
This is 100% spot on We have had terrible leadership from the managers seat since AJ left, they had a chance to fix it when they got rid of Dusty, but they hired his right hand man instead, so we get more of the same
Salazar lied to the media trying to cover for Framber. “I pressed the wrong button.” An obvious lie. Lying like that is monumentally stupid even by a rookie just trying to stay in the majors, but if that narrative came at Espada’s direction, it is extremely damning of Espada’s ability to control the clubhouse. Never lie. It never works.
Are we talking about the leader who said he completely wanted to stop the team from banging trash cans but apparently was unable to? AJ and Dusty were both fine - they were players' managers that kept a really happy and healthy clubhouse. Espada is harder to read - Framber has always been a headcase - that's nothing new. Until a few weeks ago, people here wanted to sign him for $200MM despite all that history. And things seem messy now, but when everyone was injured, Espada kept the team from going into the gutter and got them all overperforming. But unlike AJ who used analytics to overperform and Dusty who used instinct to overperform (esp with bullpens), Espada seems to have no particular underlying strength.
Athletes lie all the time and always get away with it. I never demanded a trade. I always wanted to be at (wherever an athlete signs with). I never had a beef with my teammate that I clearly had a beef with (Kobe/Shaq, Harden/lots-of-people, etc). GMs and owners lie all the time as well. There are never any consequences to lying in sports. I'd point you to Roger Clemens throwing a bat at the first base line on a Mike Piazza broken bat hit and then saying "I thought it was the ball". Nevermind the fact that if it was the ball, you'd throw it to first base, not at Mike Piazza running down the line.
It's pretty much been verified that Dusty went rouge against the GM on all decisions. He also was the one that insisted that Maldanado was the only one that could catch Framber, which pretty much started this whole crap fest (Yes, Framber is who he is and that is the way bigger issue, but there was no leadership from the managers seat when it was all going on back then either) If you call that leadership then maybe we don't disagree on the individual people we are talking about here as much as we differ on what leadership is
