Just thinking about how to use the last month to figure out playoffs (not trying to jinx). 1) Play Urias at 2B everyday 2) Rotate Altuve/Yodan at LF/DH. Yordan in LF at home, Altuve on road where speed more important 3) Platoon Sanchez and Cam with Cam off the bench more 4) Get a few reps with Cam at 3B if we get any meaningless games, see if he can be behind Dubon/Urias there for depth in case of any extra inning games 5) Get Trammell a look more as a pinch hitter as he's likely 5th outfielder 6) Get reps for Meyers and Chas in CF and see who starts hitting. If Chas starts doing anything maybe he makes cut over Trammell. 7) Use Kimbrel in closer role to see if he can replace Hader if he can't go. This keeps Abreu in his role. Can still play matchups some. 8) Bring in Alexander as a piggyback to Garcia or Arrighetti to see if he can be effective in long relief. 9) Get Diaz some time off down the stretch and get Caratini and Salazar some reps. 10) Would like to see Lance used strictly in a 1 inning role and maybe paired with a starter that has contrasting stuff. Maybe after Javier since he's not known for his curve. This would give him some regularity he's used to as a starter. I think rotation is looking like: Hunter Brown Framber Valdez Cristian Javier Arrighetti and Garcia battle for 4th starter in playoffs, loser stays stretched for any close and late games for saving bullpen. My lineup would be: SS Pena LF Altuve DH Alvarez 3B Correa 1B Walker C Diaz CF Meyers RF Sanchez/Smith 2B Urias Note: Urias is an easy bat to pinch hit for if Sanchez gets on close and late, Dubon still provides good defense. I think the bullpen will be fine but is just overworked.
