Jeremy Lin earned approximately $65.8 million in NBA salary over his career. This total includes his contracts with various NBA teams, with his largest earnings coming from his 3-year, $38.3 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets from 2016-2018.

Jeremy Lin played in the NBA for nine years, spanning from his debut in 2010 to his final NBA season in 2019, before leaving to play professionally in China and Taiwan.
    • Debut:
Lin entered the league in 2010, undrafted out of Harvard.
    • NBA Stint:
His NBA career lasted for nine seasons, a period that included playing for eight different franchises, such as the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors.
    • "Linsanity":
He became a global phenomenon during the "Linsanity" stretch with the New York Knicks in the 2011-2012 season, leading the team to a seven-game winning streak.
    • Championship:
He won his first and only NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
    • Retirement:
After the 2019 season, Lin left the NBA and has since played in the Chinese and Taiwanese professional leagues. He recently announced his retirement from all professional basketball on August 31, 2025, after a 15-year basketball career.

Lin was certainly a polarizing player. Who's bad moments ultimately outweighed his positives. The polarization led to the Alpha or GTFO crowd criticizing Lin for being a nice guy, for having a lack of "dawg". Maybe part of that a reaction against fans wanting Lin as their under"dawg"

But one thing to Lin's credit is he remained classy throughout. Bad on-court play is one thing. But as people, guys like woman beating Porter Jr, Gerald Green should not be getting more respect if the world was fair

Linsanity was one of the greatest stories in NBA history. That week is what you dream about in your driveway. It never happens. Until it did.

No, no way. Even if you mean most disappointing, he’s not even top 5.

Pippen, Christian Wood, Westbrook, Ty Lawson, Stromile Swift, Kelvin Cato, Carmelo Anthony, Royce White, were all much bigger flops as Rockets. Hell, I nominate the entire “WOW” era team as worst Rockets of all-time.

Lin was disappointing, but he tried. He didn’t have the same poisonous attitude or franchise-crippling investment as some of those other guys.

Was never really a big fan tbh, wish him all the best though, no hard feelings at all I just never thought he was worth what we paid (even with that end-loaded "poison pill" I just thought "huh, why?" when we signed him.) Hope he has a very happy retirement, didn't he go to Harvard or some **** too? So he's probably going into a pretty good job regardless of his basketball time you would assume.

Searched for the then contract, and he only made 8 million a year, given that it was poison pilled........

8 million right now is like chump change......

People had delusional thoughts about him and expected the New York version, that was never going to happen.

And it was more about getting mad at the LIN Fans than the player himself who was a Playoff Choker.
