They've been outscored 133-99 this month. Many games where they have failed to score more than 2 runs, and a many where they didn't even scored at all. A couple of blowouts made their runs scored look better than it actually has been...
I love the Football vs. Baseball George Carlin bit, but the worst injuries I've seen (in person) and the worst injury I ever had was because of baseball. All big blood-gushers.
Worst month scoring runs since 2014. And this is after getting rid of some of the AAA fillers. They’re going to either get hot at the “perfect” time when this all course corrects…. Or Armageddon.
Ted Williams, Pete Rose or Babe Ruth aren’t walking through that door. This team needs to get back to basic hitting. Watching Dubon fail to bunt over Cam yesterday was ridiculous. Leaving five men on base through the first two innings was abhorrent. The lack of situational hitting is maddening. Something has to give here as this team has made bad pitching look like a bunch of Cy Young candidates. Snitker isn’t getting through to these guys, but ultimately it’s on the hitters to actual hit and not chase pitches out of the zone and get into pitcher’s counts. Didn’t watch today’s game, but the last couple of games, it seems that they’re getting on early and then letting the pitchers cruise through the rest of the game. I can’t see them slumping like this the rest of the season, but they’re not doing themselves any favors heading into September.
Because he has an ERA approaching 7, he has a sorry ass 91 mph fastball, and he has no idea where half of his pitches are going? Same reason we cut Abreu and are paying his $20M this season...he ****ing sucks and is washed up
The Astros may be in 3rd place in the AL West by next Sunday if the offense doesn't turn it around. I expect a good series versus the Yankees, as this team seems to play up to the good competition.... But generally suck versus these last place teams. But they really need to right the ship.
