If we were going to use Blubaugh, why not use him instead of McCullers? Don't get the logic there. Thought Blubaugh might be starting tomorrow... Not that it matters anyway. We weren't scoring and it just helps get us closer to being done with the LMJ experience.
Garcia starting tomorrow... but putting in Lance for more that one inning if Blubaugh was going to pitch anyways was pure insanity or stupidity.
Another embarrassing effort today. Things you know will happen...MELTON is not getting a hit.Lance is going to get touched up. Diaz is not throwing a runner out on a steal...unlikely to hit. Yordan is a walk. Blueballs is playing above his head (good). Number 9 hitter for opposing team will always get on base. BTW...good close...DOG DAY was very appropriate.
Lance's ERA is almost at 7.00 right now. At what point do you have to shut him down? Because you've got to consider doing that if he doesn't show some signs of life pretty soon. He's an awful pitcher right now on a team that's fighting for the playoffs. You can't keep using him in any kind of a close game for much longer.
