Give him a gold glove, sure. But defense doesn't factor into MVP as much as offensive numbers. But I will give you the fact that it's hard to play catcher and do what he's doing for a full season.
I imagine they want to keep left right left. I'd consider switching Yordan and Tuve.and then flip Sanchez and Walker. I don't think Walker will benefit from Yordans protection if he's after him. In fact we'll just see Walker up to bad with more runners on base.
In general I agree with you - if it was a shortstop or something then yeah I would be with you. Being a catcher is a huge difference though - it's not just the physical wear but also the amount of time you have to spend on game planning. Judge has also been terrible recently - he's hitting .198 his last 30 games. IMO it's going to come down to who plays better in September.
I guess to each their own. Blum definitely can be corny so can't argue with you there - I just love how he truly is a fan at heart
