    Don’t worry
Ime not playing around when Alpi comes back.

My guess is Alpi been living the life, especially back in his home country and he will have a “wake up call” to get it together when he gets back here.

A little bit irrationally annoyed he hasn't improved his 3 pt shot yet, despite all this practice. Maybe its because he always improves in the off-season some aspect of his game, so my expectations are high.

Alperen Sengun had 25 points and five rebounds as Turkey defeated Lithuania 84 – 81 in Vilnius. This was the first loss for Lithuania during training camp ahead of the EuroBasket. Lithuania led 81 – 76 down the stretch after coming back from down 59 – 66 in the beginning of the fourth period. The game remained close until the last moments where Turkey made the right plays to get the win. Rokas Jokubaitis had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Lithuania. Cedi Osman contributed 13 points to Turkey’s win. Deividas Sirvydis scored 13 and dished out six assists.

Don’t get your hopes up. In his interview he mentioned that he worked on getting his touch back around the rim. No 3 pt mention. I don’t think it is high in their priority list.

On 8-23-25 vs Montenegro with the veteran Vucevic on the court, here's Sengun's line:
    25 pts (10–15 2pt shots) 11 boards 4 steals and 2 TOs in 27 minutes.

i’m guessing they also added capela instead of a stretch 5 because udoka’s all in on the rebound centric offense. so we’ll never see five out

Based on the last 3 games, it doesn't seem as if Alpi's jump shooting and FT shooting will improve much this year, if at all. Hard to judge his touch around the rim.

What's looks great is his improved quickness (and maybe even hops). Based on these highlights, he seemed relentless, almost desperate, to make an impact on the offensive end. Considering he scored 26 points in 27 mins, I don't think he took very many plays off.

Because his spin move seems much more dynamic, Alpi might be able to successfully attack the basket even when his defender backs up and dares him to shoot. Spacing for the Rockets this year will be even more important.

The defenses will be much tougher on Alpi next week when the games count.

Alpi is at his peak, or as close as he is going to get, which is all star level - guys like him that have been pros since 15, but aren't all that athletic peak earlier - and that is him.

He will be a very very good NBA player, but not a superstar, IMHO.

He literally is Luis Scola in his prime.

Sengun is soo much more athletic than Scola. Jokic isn't athletic at all his peak is the best the nba has ever seen..

It’s funny how you always bring up Scola and Sengun together, always with the same point: “Sengun won’t be a superstar.”

I just don’t get why you feel the need to repeat that under every Sengun post. At this point, it almost feels like you’d rather see him fail, just so your prediction ends up being right. But honestly, if Sengun does become a superstar, that’s only good news for the team. It might bruise your ego, but for us it’d be huge, finally having a true homegrown superstar after such a long time.

You keep saying this, but he keeps getting better. Good to know you’re always wrong
