The Astros couldn’t beat strasburg or scherzer. They beat both Cole and JV.

 

I hate runners being left on base. The first two runners are on, no outs, and then three straight outs. It's maddening!

If he does that you know we will surrender the DH by extra innings.

 

Brutal, 2 runners on with no outs and we can't even advance them.
Chas with a 3-0 count and strikes out .

I can't see a path forward with our pitching staff.
Bullpen burnt out and all the returning pitchers seem to need a full spring training.
We are left with only Garcia and France pending return but they don't seem to have much confidence in them.

 

I'm not sure why Dubon was even bunting to set up Chas

We just suck so much at plating runners.

 

Blubaugh has great stuff and throws strikes. He’s prone to solo HR but based on what we’ve seen the last 3-4 weeks he should be in the rotation.

At this point I don't give a **** about anything other than throwing strikes. At least you can eat some innings giving up hits/homers. Walking 4+ guys and going 2-4 innings every time is killing this team.

 

Agree. In fairness, they did already score 7 runs which is enough to win like 90% of all games...sigh

I am fine to give Javier and Arrighetti 2 more starts each to see if they can start to improve. But I’ve seen enough from McCullers. The Astros going to a 6 man rotation to accommodate McCullers also means one less RP available.
