    He had drama with Draymond and Westbrook too. Seems like issues everywhere he goes and its always someone elses fault as potrayed in the media.

    That's the difference I think between our calculus - I have lower expectations on Reed but 100% agree that if he can be a rotational player with his shooting we can at least pace if not improve our win total from last year.

    My biggest concern with the Durant deal is that Jalen/Brooks/Cam tended to be late clock bucket creators(albeit very inefficient there)and we replaced them with a guy who will probably only play 2/3 of games but at a much higher efficiency rate so I wonder the impact there to those 20 or so games Durant doesn't play - do we lose those? Does Sengun or Amen step up? Jalen Green was nothing if not a reliable scorer playing the Jazz or Wizards on a random Tuesday night game and getting us a W. I think we still need a guy who has both a shot AND a counter and can get a good look every time. I know Amen and Sengun can score, but the lack of outside shooting from either makes it easier for teams to guard them. There is a difference between the DFS and Jabari type 3 and d guys, guys who get buckets close to the hoop like Amen and Sengun, and true 3 level scorers.....but it's also entirely possible that Jabari starts to be a little more capable of expanding his game given how strong his shot came on last year and how HE thinks he can score if he puts the ball on the floor.

    Time will tell but I am very confident the answer will fall somewhere in between my projections and yours.

    I mean Draymond is a complete ******* and Westbrook can basically torpedo a team all by himself. I can’t blame Durant for having some drama with those 2 guys.

    Did you not just hear that they had locker room problems with the Suns and they literally hated each other. The same guy is habitually online talking **** and being toxic with fans. Draymond is a dick but so is KD. Harden is the one who put his foot down against Kyrie and KD did nothing which led Harden to want to leave. KD has always been a little b****. Thats why he ran from OKC. Ran from the Warriors. Ran from the Nets. Ran from the Suns. He is overrated and a locker room cancer. The idea that nothing is his fault wherever he goes when **** doesnt work out is part of why he is overrated. You people making excuses for him its part of why this generation is soft. Same thing is done with Lebron, its always everyone elses fault except the guy thats supposed to be in charge. This guy didnt make the play in last year to think he is gonna be some type of savior here is ridculous.

    All that matters is that even at age 37 he will be a million times better than Jalen. That by itself is worth the trade. If he wants to leave after a year, I'm good with that too if it comes down to it.

    Durant played a role in their coaching drama and terrible FA signings.

    KD is indeed a drama queen however if you look at his individual nos he has always brought it on the court. Yeah he doesnt have enough rings but thats what happens when you have a bad team. When he had a good team he made GSW the best team in history.

    His issue with Draymond started when Draymond didnt pass him the ball, bro KD has a career average of 62 TS%, thats higher than some centers who just know how to dunk and layup. If you dont pass to a guy like that it's your fault. His issue with WB was because he left the team. If he could turn back time Presti prob wishes he kept KD and traded WB instead.

    I never understood why people love MJ and Kobe but then hate on KD. So MJ and Kobe bullying their teammates is ok but KD is a problem? lol KD is 3x better teammate than those 2 guys.

    @Codman
    Any insight on GS/BKN/PHX lockeroom issues and KD's role (if any)?

    Durant is the common denominator in all three instances. At some point you have to acknowledge his role.

    Only due to how it's framed. A lot of players have problems with those 3 douchebags.

    Look, KD is a diva, and he will bring drama for sure. With the added spotlight, we should prepare to be bombarded with all sorts of reports (most will be false, like Stone called out McMahon on his interview yesterday). He will also beef with people on X, and will be petty asf.

    That said, I don't think he will cause trouble in the locker room. His move to the Rockets was brewing since February, and I'm sure both sides had extensive talks about his role and all the rest. Ime will keep him mostly in check.

    Everyone has drama with Draymond, that don't even count lol... as far as I can remember he and Westbrook were cool until he left for GSW. He was caught in the middle of Kyrie being a whackadoo and Harden entering his diva era himself. That team also almost won a chip. Suns should've never traded for him to begin with...

    I'm not really trying to make excuses, so much as point out while he can be a petty Betty on social media he doesn't control *everything* about those teams.
    That broken hand derailed Jabari's season. He was heating up and that happened, fell down the ladder and only got a little bit of run in the playoffs, when he was absolutely on fire. If Jabari can glean some skills off of Durant he's absolutely another option on those Tuesday nights in Charlotte.
