The theft has sparked panic at his record label Interscope who have brought forward the worldwide release date. An illegal website called RNS put the entire album on the net two days ago. Thousands of fans instantly downloaded it and could pass it on to countless others. It could lose the 32-year-old rapper MILLIONS of pounds in royalties from CD sales. Interscope bosses were locked in meetings all day yesterday. They decided to bring forward Encore’s release date by three days to next Friday November 12. Unveiling the album on a Friday rather than a Monday is virtually unprecedented — and a sign of how panicked bosses are. An insider at the label said: “This is catastrophic news. Security has been so tight on this album nobody can figure out how the album has got out there. “We now think thousands of people around the world are downloading it.

wasn't the eminem show or the marshall mathers lp (i think eminem show) pushed up a few days or weeks and released on a friday as well? didn't seem to stop either from massive sales (eminem show was highest selling that year). i doubt this will stop all that many sales either.
All his CD's have been leaked a good 2 to 3 months before they are supposed to come out....it happens all the time nothing new...someone that works for the company or just gets a demo copy of it from him or something will leak it out...
I have it, but my son will be buying it the day it comes out as well. I got it early for him as a gift.

Eminem is a punk a$$ b****. Who cares if his album leaked onto the Internet? He's already a quadrillionaire.
Maybe the guys who worked on his record who get some of their pay from album sales. Maybe the guy who owns the small record store and doesn't sell as many copies as he might have. Maybe the people on the assembly line at the distribution company who lose their jobs because there isn't a need for as much work with record sales decreasing. Maybe the college promotion specialist for the record label who makes $15K per year to set up end cap displays at record stores and hang posters on campuses. It isn't just the rich rock and rap stars that get paid when an album gets sold.
RNS isn't a website rather a name of a 'warez' group that releases mp3. This group tends to leak out major albums fair early 2-3 weeks of the street date and it caused a lot of problems in the past. I remember they were responsible for an early leak of Korn's Take A Look in the Mirror album which upset Jonathan Davis and the other members of Korn greatly. Course the ppl in the RNS group dont really care cuz they went ahead and leaked out the Greatest Hits album and put something along the lines of "we hope jonathan davis doesnt get as mad this time as he did last time" in a notepad file that came with their mp3s. I really dont mind album leaks of artists I do like because I actually still go out and buy the cd. The leak just saves me some time in converting the tracks to mp3 myself to put it in my mp3 player. if the music sucks I will delete it off my hard drive because I dont like a bunch of crap taking up my space. but then again how many people now download mp3s early and then truly go out and buy the album later when it comes out? Probably a hand ful especially if this eminem album leaked out 3 weeks early chances are he will see about 500,000 album sales drop. I tutor about 6 high school kids on the weekend and its frustrating for me to see that every single computer game, audio cd, movie they have is an illegal copy. The only thing they buy legit still now is ps2/xbox games and that probably because its a pain to get your ps2/xbox mod-chipped properly, if it wasn't I am sure they would be downloading those games as well. The kids always tell me that they dont have money to go out and buy cds,games and dvds cuz they are in high school which is a huge load of crock cuz back when I was in high school I actually, forbid the thought, got a job so I could have money to spend on these things but I guess fiscal responsibility is lost on today's youth. While the leak will hurt Em' he is still going to be driving his benz in style, its the not-so main stream artists that take a beating with the massive sharing of mp3s, the ones who sell only about 200-300k copies and see about half of that drop due to illegal downloads.

I listened to it last night...it's alright....There's like 3 really good songs and the rest are pretty average... Check out 'Like Toy Soldiers' 'Mockingbird' and 'Never Enough'... BTW, you can find these songs on soundclick.com
