He also mentioned museums and Naval factory in terms of why he loves the city. I will say though as a Chinese American who grew up on and still eat a lot of Asian food, I can see why he'd choose Cheesesteak over Texas BBQ. Can't really comment on his preference for museums over strip clubs. Never felt like I had enough money to be going to strip clubs so can't really compare the two.
Yao is a huge history guy. I remember an interview way back when and he said Philly back then too. He appreciates it for the American history and landmarks of the first nations capital.
Yao you the greatest baby. Ain’t our fault that cheesesteak look like a McMuffin when you take it down in three bites.
I appreciate Yao’s willingness to have his own opinions about things. Agree with the historical significance of Philly if you are into that kind of thing. It’s not my thing but I have an appreciation for the people of Philly as the scrappy little brother of New York - they got a chip on their shoulder for sure and being from Houston - I love to root for underdogs. Sometimes it means you got be ready to fight anyone there which isn’t cool - but there is also a cool IDGAF what you think creative spirit there that is hard not to like if you are into that kind of thing.
Philadelphia is the type of city where people eat cigarettes for breakfast. I kid - sort of - there are parts about it that I like and it is underrated but saying it is a favorite city is interesting.
Remember prime Kim Cattrall attending Cat's games courtside, cuz it was just being a Cat for Cat "good friend" for his "interestingness"?
he can barely move due to all the injuries to his foot and knee. difficult to stay fit when you can't move like how you used to.
