I researched Braun before the draft and was very high on him due to his competitiveness and leadership abilities. Was disappointed when the Rockets weren't able to get him. Sheppard is a different type of player all together and not as readily built for the NBA as Braun is. I'd love to see Braun in Houston and I bet Ime would too.
commander shepard is more comparable to mejik johnson tbh. they're both blek and are magicians with the ball
why are you comparing two players who are vastly different in styles and abilities? Just because they’re both white doesn’t mean you have to compare them lol
I'm not sure where anyone sees much "D" in his game...but there's certainly 3's. Reed Sheppard projects to be a MUCH better defensive player than Christian Braun.
There is no way you're seriously saying this. Braun is an excellent defensive player. Very strong and has good lateral speed. Not undersized, too. I love Reed but come on.
I watched the Denver vs OKC series and he did a pretty good job guarding SGA. The guy is known for his hustle and defense in general. Those are his strengths. He wasn't even a consistent 3pt shooter until last year.
He might be known for it, but the metrics don't show it, none of them. Sometimes hustle guys get undeserved reputations. His impact on opponent fg% was somewhere between negligible and not a positive for his team.
You’re debating the guy who was picked last in any sport at PE, at the playground or a family reunion. He doesn’t know much about basketball other than some stat site feeding him info
It's like trying to compare Shepherd to Jaylen Brown or Bradley Beal, it's not a valuable comparison really. Maybe if he doesn't grow as a ball handler then comparing to SG's would become a thing.
