Which player would you rather have and is Sheppard on par with him? Do you see Reed having similar Success as Braun? Reed and Baby Jokic (Sengun) Braun and Jokic
Braun is a really good player. You have to accept it if that’s all he reaches, but I would hope for that to be more of a floor
They aren't the same type of player, Sheppard is a PG, Braun is a SG. If were only looking at shooting, and ignoring every other aspect of the game, we could see something similar though.
They are very different players, but I would be very happy if Reed becomes as effective as Christian Braun.
Needless to say, Braun has really stepped up. Denver's more than happy with him.. But, Reed's going to have the ball in is hands eventually...along with that feel for the game....and...serious shooting. We've seen glimpses.
Braun spent 3 years in college at Kansas, and has now spent 3 years in the NBA. Reed has...not Maybe find a better comparison?
You can still compare them. For instance, I can say I would prefer Giannis over Reed, despite Giannis being a lot older and on the downward trend of hsi career and not a PG and not nearly as good a 3pt shooter and not a good fit next to Sengun. Two players of different age and experience just means there are extra factors to the comparison. Not that you can't compare them.
Sheppard was above 50% from 3 in college if I'm not mistaken. I hope, hope, hope he can be 45% of decent volume with more minutes this season. If that turns out to be the case we're not losing.
As hard as it is for some to accep Brain reminds me of Amen Thompson and basically doing the same things on the court.
I will take Reed and Sengun over Braun and Fat Sengun (see what I did). For no other reason than I'm a homer and don't know anything about Nuggets and don't care. Except that we beat them.
