1st play = Jakob Johnson missed his block & Dare missed the hole (TWSS) = should have been a huge gain

Agree! His size, feet, and hand usage look great for a rookie, but his attitude and football IQ are just as impressive.

What I've seen of him so far is promising. I'm not expecting him to be all world. He's going to make mistakes and give up sacks. He'll probably kill a few drives on his own this season. But ultimately, he's going to be a positive for this team. I think he'll be better in the run game than the pass, initially. He seems to get a little off balance at times in pass pro, which the better DEs will take advantage of. But he's clearly a hard worker and already improving, so the future is bright.

I'm good with it if he is a better run blocker. Our run game has been pretty mid the last few years and that's being generous.
If we can establish the run, it changes everything for CJ. Want to see him dropping dimes on play action.
Or even some RPO to quick hits. We have some receivers able to make those 4-yard quick hits into big gains.
I'm overly optimistic about this season's offence.

There's no reason not to be excited at this point, unless you're just one of *those* people.

no reason to be excited about the o-line until they demonstrate competence in regular season play

Yet there's no reason not to until they don't

It's a new season of football, I'm excited.

I cant wait to see posters reactions after the 1st game after the Texans have a big game running the ball. With these same posters not realizing they ran the ball great in the 1st game the last 2 yrs.
