In other words, we can expect more headline grabbing behavior from Gavin Newsom in the years and months ahead. I'm not a Newsom guy, but he seems to understand that the vast majority of the frustration among the Democratic base isn't so much where Democrats stand on the issues, it's that they're not doing enough to stand up to Trump and the Republicans. At some point Dems like Whitmer and Shapiro are going to have to start doing the same--if they intend to make a serious run for the WH.
Strange, he's been surging in California opinion polls over the last few months, AFAIK. You would think they might know a thing or two more about him than we do. I'm more interested in how to fight the Trump administration right now. He's showing a pulse. We'll have to see if he can keep the momentum alive and mount a successful campaign.
Newsom is just so fake. He's not authentic -- everything is scripted and done to create an image... and it just doesn't feel natural with him... he's a manipulator. And he's too liberal for America's current right-of-center balance. California has run too many people and businesses off with their liberal policies... this is NOT what America needs. GOOD DAY
I have concerns. He's polished, well dressed, and yes, "handsome". Is he too polished? Does he come across as genuine? Hard for me to say. Time will tell if he's "too liberal." At least he has a pulse and is showing signs of a backbone.
