Losing is so disappointing ....but, not competing is just inexcusable. The injuries hve been unreal. Yordan...my goodness...it seems like every year he has some kind of issue. The offense is punchless. Don't mean to be overly critical but I've seen about all I want to see from Trammell and Melton. Diaz has not been very good.... swinging outside the zone frequently. Smith has really fallen off too Pitching...Hader really hurts but, we are getting drilled before we'd even get to Hader. Encouragement is hard to find anywhere in pitching ....Home Run Gordon, Dubin, Lance,(Cinco) Weems. Javier pitching well for 3 and gets sick. Even Framber has not been himself lately. We've got to get our injured back on the field.Tough time right now....but, we can still turn things around and be OK. Problem is ...we need to get at it...and soon.

Astros can't field a competitive team. The injuries are ridiculous. This is baseball, not football!

Per Astros postgame on Yordan's schedule:

    Tues - play AA
    Wed - rest
    Thurs - play
    Fri - play

His whereabouts on Saturday weren't mentioned so maybe just maybe...

By having starters go a little more deep in games - pitching guys one inning out of the pen and maybe someone like Garcia or McCullers goes to the pen and is stable.

I don’t know what the plan is with McCullers but I hope they have him pitch one or twice a week for at most two innings and he can just throw hammers and go through the line up once.

There is also a world where Walter returns and helps.

The injuries have been completely overwhelming and I suppose in hindsight we could say Brown should have pivoted away from Alcantara, Rasmussen and Cease quicker and gone for someone like Kelly… but not sure that would fix the issue.

Probably the same guy that decided not to play Pena Saturday - but then had him pinch hit and kept him on the field.

Best way to “fix” the pen is to have returning starters like LMJ, France, Garcia go to the pen and eat multiple innings.

Or have two starters from the guys listed above eat entire games between them.

Also having our starters (Brown/Valdez/Arrigheti/Alexander/Javier) give us more length would be nice.

Javier only going 3 was a real kick in the nuts. (Not that the offense was going to score a run anyway).

Well enough to play Saturday and Sunday.

Couldn’t possibly play Friday? Hard to believe.

Huh? You’re saying he wasn’t sick? Or you’re questioning whether he rested thursday/friday, felt better enough on saturday (supposedly) to be available, and then start Sunday? That’s a really implausible situation?

Well, that was a fugly weekend series, once we got down yesterday it felt the air was out of this team............nothing you can do but flush this down the drain and focus on the Tigers. We seem to suck against the lesser teams so let's hope we turn it around, we can't keep hoping for the Mariner`s lose every game, we need go take it. Where the F is Yordan, this is turning into a cluster ****

Unfortunately Yordan will not save this team.
I expect half of what peak yordan was.
If you can't go up there with full confidence in your hands. You will deliver diminished results.
    Just my opinion.
