Yep. That's just the way he talks (especially to the media). He doesn't want the fans to think that he'd use that as an excuse (the marathon thing). He knows everyone wants to win now.
Agreed. Nice first post, desertdog2k... don't let idiot elitist posting police run you off. You are not required to post a book, or an essay, to start a discussion thread... as we can all tell... we'll maybe not all of us. Ease up "oldies" let the newbies in on your clique. btw- the team is only going to look as "LOST" as it's leader IS. JVG stinks.
I would agree that this team has serious concerns. Obviously there are a ton of games left to be played, and this team will get better. How much better is my ultimate concern. Yao still is not as aggressive as most think he should be (and might never be), and T-mac is in a situation that is forign to him (on a team that expects to win instead of hopes to win). The glaring deficientcies I see are obviously size (and attitude) up front, and the PG play. I just don't see how all of this can come together this season. CD and Jeff probably knew this would be a team 2-3 years in the making when they pulled the trigger on this deal. At least I hope they knew.
Van Gundy's newspeak. It doesn't mean what it actually means... I'd rather have somebody speaking softly and spouting Zen Philosophy.
