I would give Framber 5 years at a high AAV knowing there's a good chance that I would probably be eating a year.

Nolan DeVos made his first appearance of the season as he's trying to make his way back from a long-term injury. He allowed a solo homer, walked one, and struck out five in three innings for Fayetteville.

Checked in to Sugarland game to see how Lance was doing. Left realizing Jon Singleton was DH.

Well, in less crappy news, Fayetteville won 20-3.

Kyle Walker reached base in all of his plate appearances. He went 3-3 with an RBI double, drew three walks, and scored five runs.

Change in stock from the beginning of the season:

Moved from off the radar to on the radar: IF Anderson Areinamo, 1B Wes Clarke, OF Anthony Millan, IF Hector Salas, IF Sami Manzueta, OF Drew Brutcher, P Jesus Carrera, P Hudson Leach, P Amilcar Chirinos, P Omar Damian, P Luis Aguilar, P Brett Gillis, P Brandon McPherson, P Javier Perez, P Patrick Halligan, P Dylan Howard, P Anthony Cruz, P Francisco Frias

Moved from 4th tier to 3rd tier: OF Anthony Huezo, IF Caden Powell, IF Alejandro Nunez, P Michael Knorr

Moved from 3rd tier to 2nd tier: C Will Bush, P Bryce Mayer; these guys went from prospects who were just notables or honorable mentions to guys ranked in the org top 20 or even top 10. Mayer may even end up on some offseason top 100 lists.

Moved from 2nd tier to 1st tier: OF Kevin Alvarez, OF Joseph Sullivan; I’m using the term 1st tier pretty loosely, but both these guys went from prospects ranked in the 10-20 range in the system to guys who might show up on a top 100 list this offseason.

Moved up multiple levels: OF Lucas Spence, C Garret Guillemette; both these guys went from off the radar to having a legit argument to fall in the 10-20 range in the system.

Guys whose stock is down: OF Luis Baez, OF Nehomar Ochoa Jr., IF Pascanel Ferreras, OF Kenni Gomez; Baez is the main prospect whose value really tanked this season. They tried to hold him back on the complex to get him to improve his defense and ended up derailing his entire trajectory. I have hope that Ochoa and Gomez will rebound. I never thought Ferreras was a prospect but he was on most org top 30 lists and had a pretty poor showing this season.

They graduated 3B Cam Smith, OF/IF Shay Whitcomb, OF/1B Zach Dezenzo, P Ryan Gusto, P Colton Gordon, and P Brandon Walter

They traded away IF Chase Jaworsky, OF Esmil Valencia, and P Twine Palmer; Jaworsky was a 2nd tier prospect, Valencia and Palmer were 3rd or 4th tier guys with upward trajectory.

The draft added 1 1st tier prospect (Neyens), 2 2nd tier prospects (Frey and Mitchell), and several 3rd/4th tier prospects.

Overall I think the farm system is in slightly better shape than it was in March and significantly better than it was this time last year.

Zach Cole went 4-6 with an RBI double, an RBI single, stole a base, and scored twice. He finished a home run shy of the cycle.

Jose Fleury has gotten a rude welcome to AAA, but he allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out three over three scoreless to close out Sugar Land's 4-2 win over Salt Lake.

Eurys Martich and Francisco Frias combined to throw 7 scoreless relief innings for Fayetteville as they beat Carolina 3-2. Frias turned in a perfect outing. Arturo Flores had a pair of RBI singles.

    Martich: 4 IP, H, 5 BB, 6 K
    Frias: 3 IP, 4 K

Yeriel Santos finally got his first win of the year for Asheville. It's been a trying year for Santos to say the least, but hopefully this outing is the start of a road to recovery. He allowed a hit, walked one, and struck out four over five shutout innings. Ramsey David followed with three scoreless, allowing two hits, walking two, and striking out two.

Cole followed that up by going 3-5 with two runs scored and three RBI today. He drove in one on a fielder's choice and two with a double.

If I were a team like the Rockies or White Sox supremely short on high ceiling big league ready hitters, I would consider popping Cole in the Rule 5. He would probably carry a 50% k rate but still hit 20 doubles and 20 HR and steal 20 bases.
